Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Luma (available at theluma.ai), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Luma. Questions: joelchiapower@gmail.com

Luma is an attention management tool. It helps you convert free-form thoughts into prioritized tasks and surfaces the right task at the right moment based on your behavior patterns. It is not a medical, legal, or financial advisory service.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Luma.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may only have one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits is prohibited.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up.

You agree not to:

• Use Luma to store, transmit, or process illegal content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the service
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to interact with the service without our written permission
• Circumvent any access restrictions or Pro feature gates
• Interfere with the service's operation or other users' access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

You own the content you enter into Luma (your brain dump text and tasks). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it in order to provide the service — including sending it to AI services for task extraction.

You represent that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Free plan

The free plan includes brain dump, today brief, basic task actions, and 7-day history. We may change free plan limits at any time with reasonable notice.

Pro subscription

• Pro is billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
• All payments are final. We do not issue refunds, including for unused time in a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
• We may change Pro pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers retain their current price for the remainder of their billing cycle.

Luma uses AI to extract tasks and generate summaries from your input. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any tasks or suggestions before acting on them. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated content.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or temporarily suspend the service. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.

All Luma software, design, algorithms, and branding are our property. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the service.

Luma is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will meet your specific requirements, be error-free, or that AI-generated task prioritization will lead to any particular outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luma and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including loss of data, lost productivity, or lost profits — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
